Playlist #140
Happy Thursday, time for your newest edition of the playlist.
Another week, another birthday for a Brooklyn rap legend. This song is one of my favs. "Give a fuck about what brand you are, I’m concerned about what kind of man you are, what your principles and standards are". Peace to Yasiin.
New Boldy James with Real Bad Man is out. I've been enjoying the RBM releases all year, and the Boldy tracks definitely stood out. Now we get a whole project. Meyhem Lauren guests on this one. "Thought he had a pint of wop bought some Nyquil, flood another block off of Whitehill”. Boldy’s voice is incredible.
Problem is one of those artists who I always need to listen to more. I love his voice and flow. The rhymes are clever & fun, but are hard when they need to be.
One more from the new Droog. Pravda is the posse cut with Mach, El-P, Fahim, & Black Thought. Predictably, everyone kills it. I very much enjoy El-P's "the drugs are not a problem, they're solving your over talking" line.
And finally a new one from an artist that I will have to listen too more, Doggystyleeee.
