Playlist #158

Here we are with Playlist #158. This week is kind of about pairs.

First off we have a pair of classic style hip hop songs in “Lookin' Back, Pt. 2” and “Bank Stopper”. “Lookin' Back” is a slower, loopy jam with minimal drums, while “Bank Stopper” shows off a bit more hardcore side. Guilty and Milano doing the damn thing while demonstrating their contrasts.

Next pair stems from celebrating 4/20 this week. First we have a new one from Mendo Dope who traditionally release a new edition of their Live in the Garden Series. This week was no different with Season 4 coming out on Tuesday. “All from a Seed” details the versitility and wonder of the worlds greatest plant. Joining that one is a classic weed jam from Aceyalone & RJD2.

Finally we have a pair of RIPs to share. Peace to Black Rob and peace to Shock G. Too many hip-hop community members passing this year.
