The Si Spex beat tape came out a while ago, and tho I've been keeping up on new releases pretty regularly, this one got filed away. Got around to it last week, and its a very enjoyable instrumental hip hop album. This is the lead off track.

I've been listening to a bunch of Bernard Purdie lately and he plays drums on this live album (from SF!). There is a live Aretha Franklin record from the Filmore he plays on too.

Also included are a C.R.E.A.M. cover and one from the new Gorillaz.
