Playlist #144

Last week’s playlist is finally here. Per usual had most of this written up but never composed and published! Hit that play button, baby!

Drakeo's came home and promptly started getting busy. The way that the cases dried up, like, the DAY AFTER the election where Jackie Lacey lost is wild as hell. Just such an obvious petty, personal beef. As always, read Jeff Weiss on the subject.

Don't think I've listened to this Destruct guy before, but this track is nice and he's clearly been doing this a while, if the discography is any indication. I'll try to keep up.

Intricate Threads and Step Two are two songs kind of on opposite sides of the spectrum. One is layered luxury raps, the other low budget party rhymes. But I fux with both of these.

This might be my favorite Gang Starr track. Its dope to hear Jada keep up with Guru, his verse here ranks just behind his Livin’ the Life verse in my Pantheon of Jadakiss Verses.

Rounds out with one from Napoleon Da Legend & Nejma Nefertiti that I remember liking when it dropped a couple years ago and came back accross my radar this week. And a Rico Nasty tune.
