Playlist #183 & #184

Back again with a double playlist for the weekend. Planet Asia is back again this week, and not with another from the new The Rule of Thirds tape produced by Ev. This one is a feature loosy that has him rocking over a funky loop (that had previously been wrecked by Jonwayne on the first Quakers tape) alongside British rapper Lewis Parker.

Mt. Westmore is finally here with the first single, and its pretty much everything you would have expected. We'll see how this shakes out with the rest of the album, but when you here all these guys together like this, it is really clear that Too $hort is by far the best rapper of the crew.

"Guily Remnat Cigarettes" comes from Vinnie Paz's' Burn Everything That Bears Your Name album which I was revisiting recently. This is such a strong effort, one of the best albums of the year by far.

Finally we got an old skool joint from dancer and rapper Stezo, who passed last year.

For #184, we start with KRS-One getting "Krazy" on their latest song. Just two and a half minutes of Kris rapping his ass off.

Vinnie pops up on #184 also, this time repping Jedi Mind Tricks. The Philadelphia MC keeps it gully per usual.

The 25th anniversary edition of Ironman is out, but still without “Winter Warz”? Why won’t they let us listen to the greatest Cappadonna verse of all time?

Kevin Allen dropped his new album also. The leader of the Wolfpack has another excellent project out, and “Franklin Saint” is an early standout.

Finally this Doja Cat song was included in a mix I was listening to last weekend and has been stuck in my head since then. It's fine.

That’s it for now, back soon with more great music for ya.
