Leading off this week’s playlist is Hiatus Kaiyote. Found this on a “Best of” list and the album is really good. The groovy track slowly meanders itself into your ears and you'll find yourself singing "I got a red room" by the second listen.

Earthgang is here with a new single. On this song, the Dreamville duo find the pockets of joy in the increasingly difficulty that is modern life. “Got a 20 dollars bill get ya hands up // You survive last year get ya hands up // I know the money tight, that stimmy Check light // I should stash some but we gone ball for the night” captures the general ~vibe~ of the times.

V Don is one of the producers soundtracking the NYC/East Coast revival, and they have a new project out. This track has blog fav UFO Fev and frequent V Don collaborator Sauce Heist trading bars.

Finally we got Flashius Clayton from one of the recent Dirty Diggs releases. I’ve been jamming the Daly City MC a bunch lately. Just bar after bar after bar after bar (after bar!) with this guy. He don’t get as much mention on here cuz I work on Spotify, and his music is mostly on Bandcamp (when its even there, couple projects already pulled) and SoundCloud. But if you seek it out, you’re rewarded with one of the nicest rappers you’ll ever hear.
